Orange Yoga ~ Winter Session 2013

The 2013 WINTER YOGA Session is off to a vibrant start!  Thank you to everyone unrolling their mats with me for class.

Just in case you missed the details, here they are again ...

All classes are now at PEACEFUL HANDS YOGA in Orange, Virginia

4:30 p.m. & 6:00 p.m.

The WINTER session began on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 and is scheduled to run through Monday, February 25 (weather permitting, etc.)

Class Cost ...

$13 / drop in to a single class

Or, you'll receive a lovely discount if you choose to take one or two classes weekly:

$70 / one class weekly (or a total of 8 classes during an 8-week session).
$120 / attend both classes every week during the 8-week session.

My classes are designed for all levels; beginners and long-time students of yoga are welcome (and all levels in-between). Don't worry if you've never been on a yoga mat before.  (And, we have mats available for you to use, if you don't have one of your own yet.)

Yoga is a beautifully forgiving practice; each pose is accessible to each of us as long as we approach the pose with kindness, and we never push to the point of discomfort or pain. Sometimes each of us must modify a pose to support injuries or restrictions; yoga can be modified in infinite ways to make it accessible and beneficial for all of us.

I began teaching Yoga in 2003. I teach basic Hatha Yoga and I like to explore and share aspects of many different Yoga traditions -- including flowing Vinyasa Yoga, gentle Tibetan Yoga, and balancing Ayurvedic Yoga. Every class includes some breathwork and time for relaxation and meditation. In addition, I like to blend in other beneficial practices, including a bit of qi gong, tao-ist movement, and tai chi. Yoga is a wonderful way to bring health, flexibility, and strength to the body; calm the mind and relieve stress; and rejuvenate the spirit.
