Taste of the Mountains is Saturday. Stop By & Say "Hi"

Madison's Annual Street Festival -- "Taste of the Mountains" -- is coming up on Saturday, September 4 (Labor Day weekend).

It's one of the nicest street festivals in Virginia ... and, as always, Peaceful Hands Massage and MountainWood Massage Therapy are teaming up to bring you seated chair massages all day. The festival runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our tent is in a new spot this summer … look for us under the trees in Beasley Park (across from our old spot in the War Memorial courtyard).

So, stop by for a seated massage, catch some great music, check out the local vendors, then stop at the 4-H booth for a scoop or two (or three) of their fresh homemade ice cream and look for other tasty local foods and snacks throughout the town.

(Free parking at the Madison County High School with shuttle buses to Main Street that run throughout the day. There is a handicap bus as well, and some handicap parking available on Washington Street. The Madison Free Clinic will asking for donations for those spaces. Madison is located 27 miles north of Charlottesville on Route 29 and 17 miles south of Culpeper on Route 29.)

Clean, fresh mountain air, a bit of sunshine, interesting vendors and lots of friendly folk. And, did I mention a massage? Why, it's a perfect Saturday! I hope you’ll stop by and say “hi”!

Special Yoga Class ~ LABOR DAY, Monday 9/6 at 9:30 a.m.

The weather’s a little bit cooler … the kids are back in school … and now is the time to revisit all those good intentions you made last January to unroll your yoga mat more often and feel the benefits that your yoga practice can bring. Last January? Has it been 9 months already?

So, here’s your chance to recommit yourself to … yourself.

We’ll have a special LABOR DAY yoga class on Monday, September 6 at 9:30 a.m. at Peaceful Hands Yoga Studio in Orange (145 Byrd Street).

Class is $12. Or even better … if you sign up and pay for the upcoming 8-week Fall Session (in either Orange or Madison), then your class on Labor Day is FREE. (8-week session: $64)

(The 8-week Fall Session will begin in both Orange & Madison the week of September 13.)

Take care of yourself. Unroll your mat. Give yourself the gift of an hour of yoga. And, see what happens.

I hope to see you. (I’ll post the Fall calendar in the next day or so … )

Our August schedule is our time to play with theme classes and focused practices that might not fit into our typical yoga schedule. Seven classes through August. All classes are in Orange. Take a class for $12 or as many as you like for $40.

If you take the session and actually attend all 7 classes with me, two things will happen ... one you’ll end up getting your classes for less than $6 apiece (Cheap! As Alfred E. Newman would say) and two, a magical special little surprise from me awaits you at the end of the session.

Here’s the schedule (note there are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday offerings, all in Orange).
