Wildlife Center: Fall 2007 Open House Schedule

The Wildlife Center of Virginia has just announced its Fall 2007 Open House schedule. The Center offers open houses just twice a year – in the spring and fall. It’s a wonderful opportunity to visit the Center, see the Center’s medical facilities, and meet some of the education animals – including owls, eagles, possums, tortoises, and snakes – that live at the Center.

The open houses are free, but you must reserve your spot in advance, and the spots fill quickly. (Very quickly!) Here are the upcoming dates:·

  • Sunday, August 26;
  • Sunday, September 9;
  • Sunday, September 23;
  • Sunday, September 30; and
  • Sunday, October 14
There are three separate tours each day – at 12:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.

This is a rare opportunity to see the inner workings of the nation’s premier wildlife hospital, as well as meet some of the wildlife that serve as the Center’s education staff and ambassadors. It’s well worth the pretty drive to Waynesboro!

For more info, visit the Wildlife Center’s website at Or to reserve a place at the open house contact the Center at 540.942.9453 or

Madison & Orange: Last Yoga Classes of the Summer!

Whew ... it's almost August! Just a reminder that our summer yoga session in Madison and Orange will end next week. Classes in Madison will be on Monday, July 30, and in Orange on Wednesday, August 1. The cost is only $8 a class for this special summer session.

Classes will resume right after Labor Day.

Although we'll be on yoga break, my massage office will be open on my regular schedule: Tuesdays through Saturdays in my new Madison office.

Hope to see you this summer. And, if you have any questions, be sure to email or call. I can be reached at peacefulhands (at) or 540-672-9528.

May your summer days be blessed ones!
